Overview
Mosos <Patientview>
Mosos <Patientview> is an extended submodule that includes the Bed Overview, the Delivery Room Overview, Admitted Patients and Patients (having) Delivered.

Bed Overview
An instant overview of the beds on the maternity ward, at a single glance. Which patient is in which bed, what is the reason for admission to the hospital, and what stage the pregnancy is in? Has the mother given birth? Is the baby with her in the room? The Bed Overview will provide certainty within seconds. Double-clicking the bed symbol gives users instant access to the data of any individual patient. Other hospital departments, wards and patients monitored at home are now also just a few clicks away.

Delivery Room Overview
The capability to monitor all patients giving birth, providing instant certainty about the progress in each individual case. Fixed data are combined with free text information. Automatic updates, always showing the latest state of affairs.

Admitted Patients
Overview of all patients recently admitted, e.g. during the last 24 hours, to facilitate communication to the next shift.

Patients (having) Delivered
Overview of all patients who have recently given birth, including a summary of mother and child data to facilitate communication to the next shift.

Course
The Course gives the user a constant chronological and automatically updated overview of the obstetrical record in Mosos. The screen shows the current and previous pregnancies in combination with planned actions and policies. The Course includes an extended filtering mechanism, various marking facilities and a search engine for quick access to essential patient data. This allows users to select a compact overview of the vital points of interest or a complete overview of all data included in the record. All at the single press of a button.

Outpatient clinic
In combination with Mosos <P>, Mosos <O> is without doubt the most complete electronic record to support outpatient clinic pregnancy monitoring in the Netherlands. Mosos <O> was developed in close cooperation with a multi-faceted user group from the Obstetrics domain. It is fully based on the functional requirements of the people using Mosos in daily practice. Mosos <O> is a specialist, domain-specific electronic record that offers more depth than any general EPR.

Mosos <O> offers the user an overview of previous pregnancies, referrals, prenatal screening and diagnostics, deviating results, lab results, letters and documents, as well as procedures and examinations (such as ultrasounds and CTG's) recorded by other Mosos modules. It also allows users to enter all relevant and current data connected with the pregnancy involved.

Some of the main advantages of Mosos <O>:

  • In combination with Mosos <P> and the Clinical Record, this is the only complete electronic patient record for Obstetrics in the Netherlands
  • Developed in close cooperation with the users, meaning that it fully complies with their functional requirements
  • Also supports all aspects of prenatal diagnostics
  • Allows easy connection with any HIS or EPR
  • Includes customised links (mostly optional): Name/Address/Residence, Laboratory, Prenatal Screening, Primary-Secundary Obstetrical Care, Clinical Genetic
  • Integrated with CTG and ultrasound
  • Easy, intuitive use
  • Robust and stable operation

Clinic
Clinical Record
On a single screen the Clinical Record provides an overview of all relevant data connected with hospital admissions:

  • All admissions during the current pregnancy, including a graph (timeline) at the bottom of the screen
  • All available information on hospital admissions and discharges
  • Nursing history
  • Miniature graphs of mother and child that may be enlarged at the click of a button, providing an instant view of trends

The recording of data is done through this screen and the notes. They are easily accessible using the Course and the graphs. Apart from the general notes, the repetitive tasks were especially designed to support the working processes of the nursing staff. The full integration with the outpatient clinic record Mosos <O> provides access to the latest data, meaning that an intake prior to an admission no longer involves asking patients the same questions for the second time.

Delivery rooms
Mosos <CTG> is a reliable and user-friendly obstetrical information system to record and present CTG signals. Mosos <CTG> was partly also developed to monitor the progress of the delivery, e.g. through the partogram. This module provides the user with a continuous insight into all aspects of the CTG, and in turn, into the physical condition of both mother and unborn child. Using Mosos <CTG> on the ward will save much time, because this module offers various possibilities to directly enter and consult data on mother, child and parturition before and during delivery. Some of the Mosos components – including Mosos <CTG> WebConsole for live assessment of CTG's through the web and STAN® for the real-time analysis of the ST segment of the fetal ECG – are optional.

Mosos <CTG> offers the following functionalities:

  • Central monitoring: always the right focus of attention
  • Uniform communication: structured electronic reporting enhances the quality of maternity care
  • Storage/archiving: easy retrieval of records, also in medico-legal issues

Mosos <CTG> users enjoy e.g. the following advantages:

  • Full integration with labour and parturition record
  • Data may be entered and accessed at any location
  • Facility for home monitoring
  • Full integration with STAN®
  • Independent of brand or supplier
  • User-friendly layout of programme
  • Reliable and robust technology
  • Allows easy adaptation to own requirements
  • Live assessment of CTG's through Mosos <CTG> WebConsole (optional)

Labour and birth record
Mosos <P> was developed to automate the entire labour and parturition registration in a user-friendly and – most important – strictly secure manner. The programme was especially designed for the complete and correct (mandatory) registration on behalf of the national health authorities, automatically highlighting possible inconsistencies when entering data. On the basis of the data entered, Mosos <P> is capable of automatically generating letters and reports on behalf of general practitioners, or the transfer to the paediatrician or aftercare nurse. The export function of Mosos <P> allows the supply of data to the Dutch Stichting Perinatale Registratie (Perinatal Registration Foundation).
